A Prayer for Black Wives

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the gift of marriage and for the sacred calling of being a wife. Today, I lift up every woman walking this journey—whether in seasons of joy or moments of struggle. Lord, strengthen us to love our husbands with patience, kindness, and grace, reflecting the love You have for us.

Help us to be wives of wisdom, speaking life into our marriages and homes. Teach us to serve with joy, to honor with humility, and to nurture with tenderness. When challenges arise, remind us that our battle is not against each other, but against anything that seeks to divide what You have joined together.

Father, fill our hearts with peace, our minds with clarity, and our spirits with unwavering faith. May we be Proverbs 31 wives—women who build, encourage, and bring good, not harm, all the days of our lives. Renew our passion, deepen our friendship, and let our marriages be a reflection of Your divine love.

We surrender our roles as wives to You, knowing that through You, our marriages can flourish. May our love be steadfast, our words be seasoned with grace, and our hearts always turned toward You.
